|
Completion of a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution is required. Academic course work must have been completed within three years before the date of entrance to the internship. If course work is older, an upper division course in physiology AND one in clinical nutrition should be taken within three years of the entrance date. You will need to have completed or be in the process of completing an accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics, as specified by The American Dietetic Association. A signed "Verification Statement" or "Declaration of Intent to Complete Degree and ADA-Approved Minimum Academic Requirements" form must be included in the application packet. This form is provided by the ADA program director at your school and must have the program director’s original signature. A Verification Statement must be provided by the start date of the internship. Interns accepted to the UCSF Dietetic Internship must provide proof of employment eligibility on the first day of the internship. Non-US citizens must provide proof of appropriate visa status. UCSF Human Resources will conduct a background check for all interns admitted to our program. This includes a search of criminal record. The background check is required for entry to the internship program.
