Welcome to the UCSF Medical Center Department of Nutrition & Food Services website that describes both our department and our dietetic internship.

We provide a wide range of services for UCSF patients, their families and friends, and for UCSF employees, students and visitors. These services include nutrition care for our hospitalized patients and those seen in our outpatient clinics, food for patients who are on complex modified diets, a large cafeteria that serves more than one million customers per year, and high quality catering services for the UCSF Medical Center and the campus. The department also sponsors an accredited dietetic internship, which has trained dietitians since 1936.

The registered dietitians at the UCSF Nutrition Counseling Clinic at 400 Parnassus (A435) provide individual nutrition counseling for adults, adolescents and children. To learn more about outpatient nutrition services at UCSF, click on the Outpatient link on the left.
